Good food that doesn't cost the earth

Industrial agriculture kills life on earth. Conventional stores rip off farmers.
Polykultur benefits both AND brings consumers together. We offer Stockholmers access to sustainable groceries grown in and around the capital. Our good food is affordable too. 20% cheaper than the average store. How so?

Member-owned

Everyone, and we mean EVERYONE, is welcome, as long as they share our core values: ecology, justice and community. All you need to do is buy a minimum of one share into the cooperative. A share costs 1000 SEK (or 500 SEK for beneficiaries of social welfare) and one can buy as many shares as their finances allow. That’s it. You now co-own a store.

Community-run

One person, one vote is our motto. Each member has a voice in product selection, not least board election. Unlike anywhere else, clients know the store offering as well as the stocker here! And as all great rights come with great responsibilities, members also volunteer 3h per month to run the shop. That’s one way we keep prices low.

Humanely-priced

Our challenge is to make organic food affordable while keeping prices fair for producers. We tackle it by applying a single margin of 25% on everything, generating just enough revenue to cover our costs. No dividend distribution here. All profit is put back into our shop, for the common good. The Good Food revolution is here!
